Amy Kelton began taking pictures at a very young age using an old, hand-me-down camera. Through the years, her pictures have become true pieces of art. She strives to capture the uniqueness in every child, and every moment with a genuine and simplistic style. She feels truly blessed to be a part of her clients’ life stories.

What is your style?
Amy is a children’s portrait photographer, specializing in on-location, natural light photography of expectant mothers and newborns. She is passionate about creating portraits that are genuine…with no forced smiles and only minimal props. Her sessions are relaxed and not regulated by the clock. Amy understands that little ones need breaks for feedings or clothing changes, so her sessions usually take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. She specializes in on-location photography, so if you have a special location in mind or if you prefer your own home, it is up to you. Studio sessions are also available.


What should we wear?
Simple is best! Avoid big prints such as stripes, plaids and large logos. Jeans and bare feet are always a favorite as well as simple plain dresses for girls. Solids always photograph well (especially in black and white) and bare feet are always preferred over shoes. If you are undecided or need assistance coordinating outfits, feel free to contact Amy or have several outfits available so she can assist you with these choices.


What are newborn sessions like?
Amy prefers to photograph these little bundles before they are two weeks old (the younger the better). Please call to set a tentative date before your baby is due. This ensures that she plans for them in her schedule. Newborns photograph best in nothing at all. Amy has several wraps and accessories that can be used upon request.


What are your rates?
Custom portraits are an investment. Each portrait is printed on the finest paper enhanced with a linen finish. Portraits sized 5x7 and up are also mounted for durability and sprayed with a lustre coating to protect them for years to come. Click here for a current and detailed price list.

I’ve had my session, now what?
Your proofs will be ready for your viewing in about 2-3 weeks. You will be contacted with details regarding them at that time. Once your order is paid for and processed, your portraits will be ready for pick up in approximately 2 weeks.
